Village Council Meetings

Village Council meetings regularly take place on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. They are held in the Council Chambers at Village Hall.  All Council meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend. For Council information, contacts, minutes, and agendas, please visit the Council section of the Village website.

PARC Committee

The PARC meets regularly on a monthly basis when events and projects are taking place.  These meetings are generally held at Village Hall at 6:00 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. All official Committee meetings are open to the public.

Park and Recreation Events

The Village sponsors a variety of events during the year, many of which are coordinated by the PARC Committee. Some of these events include Movies in the Park, Band events, and Anniversary Celebration. 

History Committee Meetings

The History Committee meets the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at 10 a.m. in the conference room at Village Hall. If you wish to learn more about this Committee, please visit the History section of the Village website.

Holiday Lights

Holiday lights are displayed throughout the Village of Tobaccoville on portions of Doral Drive and Tobaccoville Road. The lights are officially lit by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Tree Lighting Ceremony traditionally takes place in Village Park on the first Monday following Thanksgiving and is coordinated by the Park and Recreation Committee. It has become a special time of community fellowship and signals the official beginning of the holiday season in the Village of Tobaccoville.  The 2023 Tree Lighting Ceremony is an outside event, and will be conducted on Monday, November 27th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Gazebo in Village Park if weather permits.

National Day of Prayer

The first Thursday in May is designated as a National Day of Prayer. That day is May 4, 2023.  The Village Council will also proclaim this day a Day of Prayer within the Village of Tobaccoville.  This year’s Proclamation may be viewed here:  National Day of Prayer May 4, 2023
