COVID-19 Updates

Village of Tobaccoville, NC

After reviewing Executive Orders 141 and 147, the Village of Tobaccoville is exercising additional measures and guidelines to ensure the safety of our community. We have postponed all Committee meetings through the month of July. We are limiting public access to Village Hall unless the situation is critical. If you have a concern please contact us by phone or by email. We now also require face coverings for anyone who enters the Village Hall either to conduct business or to attend a meeting. Our Village Park grounds are open, but our restroom facilities, playground, and basketball courts continue to remain closed at this time. We are also not currently taking any future reservations for our community center or our shelter that do not meet the gathering guidelines. All Village Park and Recreation events announced in the newsletter have been cancelled through the end of July. Due to executive order 147, masks are required under some circumstances in Village Park unless there is an exception to the order. Generally if you are strenuously exercising and/or can maintain social distance, no mask is necessary. There are other exceptions to the mask requirements of EO147, and we have listed those on the post which details this new Executive Order. We will use our website and our face book page to disperse helpful information to our residents. We will continue municipal services to our residents unless the CDC, state, or local health department indicates that we need to limit delivery of these services. We encourage our citizens to follow the directives and guidance of local and national health authorities to do all possible to safeguard against this virus. We will continue to post updates as available.
