COVID-19 Updates

Village of Tobaccoville, NC

After reviewing Executive Orders 155, 151, 147, and 141, the Village of Tobaccoville is continuing measures and guidelines to ensure the safety of our community. We have postponed all Committee meetings through the month of August. We are still limiting public access to Village Hall unless the situation is critical. If you have a concern please contact us by phone or by email. We now also require face coverings for anyone who enters the Village Hall either to conduct business or to attend a meeting. Our Village Park grounds are open, but our restroom facilities, playground, and basketball courts continue to remain closed at this time. We are not taking any future reservations for our community center or our shelter that do not meet the gathering guidelines. Due to executive order 147, masks are required under some circumstances in Village Park unless there is an exception to the order. Generally if you are strenuously exercising and/or can maintain social distance, no mask is necessary. There are other exceptions to the mask requirements of EO147, and we have listed those on the post which details the Governor’s Executive Orders. We will use our website and our face book page to disperse helpful information to our residents. We will continue municipal services to our residents unless the CDC, state, or local health department indicates that we need to limit delivery of these services. We encourage our citizens to follow the directives and guidance of local and national health authorities to do all possible to safeguard against this virus. We will continue to post updates as available.
