The Village Administrator
Appointed by the Council, the Administrator serves as Chief
Administrative Officer of the Village and is empowered to make
most personnel decisions and supervise the work of the rest
of the Village Staff. The Administrator is empowered to enforce
the laws and ordinances of the Village and ensures these laws
and ordinances are faithfully executed. Other duties are to
recommend the annual operating budget to the Council for approval
and to conduct day-to-day business and financial operations
of the town. The Administrator attends all meetings of the Council
with the right to take part in discussions, but without the
right to vote, and is responsible for making recommendations
to the Council as he or she may deem necessary or expedient
to the benefit of the public.
The Village Clerk
The Village Clerk is Secretary to the Council. The Village Clerk
keeps the minutes of all meetings, prepares the Council's meeting
agenda, maintains ordinances, resolutions and other official
documents and records on file, receives communications for council
consideration, handles all legal advertisements, prepares and
records all payroll and billing information, schedules all facility
rentals, handles many annexation procedures, and prepares and
distributes many financial reports.
