Holiday Lights
Holiday lights and decorations are placed on a portion of Doral Drive and Tobaccoville Road beginning at the crossroads and within the Village Park prior to Thanksgiving. The lights are officially turned on by the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony
The tree lighting ceremony traditionally takes place at the park on the first Monday following Thanksgiving and is coordinated by the Park and Recreation Committee. It has become a special time of community fellowship and signals the official beginning of the holiday season in the Village of Tobaccoville. The date for the 2008 ceremony will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the gazebo. Each guest is reminded to bring a flashlight, and in the event of rain, all activities will be moved to the community center.

National Day of Prayer
The first Thursday in May is designated as National Day of Prayer. The Village of Tobaccoville sponsors an observance for the community each year at the gazebo at 12 noon. The next National Day of Prayer observance will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009. To view the 2008 National Day of Prayer Proclamation, click here.
